From the Principal’s Desk...

Welcome back! I hope you all had a fine vacation and are looking forward with enthusiasm to the beginning of a new school year.

This year, our back to school orientation will be August 14, 2014 from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM. Please bring your child to meet his/her new teacher. The classroom teacher, support staff, and office personnel will be available to answer any questions you may have before the school year begins. This is a drop-in event; you and your child can stop by the school anytime during the 11:00 am to 3:00 pm time period to meet the teacher and pick up the supply list.

The 2014-2015 school terms begins August 18. The buses will run their normal bus routes but students must be at the bus stop 15 minutes earlier than the pick-up time. School will begin at 7:45 AM each day and end at 2:30 PM.

Every year we invite our parents—indeed, urge them—to volunteer at the school. There are many tasks that volunteers can perform. If you are interested in helping out, please call 495-3247 to speak with Ms. LaTanya Ravenell, who will be our Volunteer Coordinator this year.

Our goal is to provide all students with the opportunity to excel in academics and social skills so that they may become positive, contributing members of our school and community.

I look forward to working with you this school year. Let’s make it the best one ever!
